Privacy Policy

MeetCute is a small hobby project built and run by an individual developer - there's no company behind it. This page explains, in plain language, what data this app collects and how it's used.

What we collect

When you create an invitation, we store:

• Your email address (so we can notify you when someone responds)
• The invitation content you customize (titles, messages, card options)
• Whether you opted in to receive future updates

When someone responds to your invitation, we store:

• The date, time, and options they selected
• Any optional message they wrote
• Timestamps for when the invitation was opened and submitted

We do not require an account, password, or any data beyond what's needed to create and deliver the invitation.

How it's used

Your data is used only to:

• Display the invitation to the person you share it with
• Send you an email when they respond
• Show you their response on your private dashboard

We never sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third parties. There are no ads anywhere in this app.

Where it's stored

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud database provider. Emails are sent through Resend, a transactional email service. Neither service is given access to your data beyond what's required to perform these functions on this app's behalf.

How long we keep it

At this time, there is no automatic deletion schedule - invitations and responses remain stored indefinitely unless you delete them yourself from your dashboard. If you'd like your data removed sooner, you're welcome to reach out directly and we'll delete it manually.

Your private links

Your dashboard link and your invitation's share link both contain random, unguessable tokens. Anyone with the dashboard link can view that invitation's responses - so, don't share it publicly.

Deleting your data

You can delete an invitation and its associated response at any time from your dashboard. This permanently removes it from our database.

Changes to this policy

As this is a hobby project that may evolve over time, this policy may be updated occasionally. Significant changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
